High performance all-solid-state sodium batteries actualized by polyethylene oxide/Na2Zn2TeO6 composite solid electrolytes

, 2020
To address sluggish kinetics of ions in all-solid-state sodium batteries, composite solid electrolytes (CSEs), i.e. polyethylene oxide (PEO) with dispersed Ga doped-Na2Zn2TeO6 (NZTO) particles, and a nanostructured Na2V3(PO4)3 cathode are applied to ...

Enhancement of spectroscopic, thermal, electrical and morphological properties of polyethylene oxide/carboxymethyl cellulose blends: Combined FT-IR/DFT

Vacuum, 2019
Different ratios between polyethylene oxide (PEO) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) blends were prepared through the solution casting technique. The X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)

Mechanism of polyethylene oxidation

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1964
AbstractAcetic and formic acids and acetone are products of the oxidation of propylene and ethylene polymers and copolymers. The two‐ and three‐carbon products can be accounted for as the result of intramolecular attack by radicals, leading to β‐oxidation. A high proportion of scissions in polypropylene involves multiple intramolecular attack.

Polyethylene oxides

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2006
The aim of this study was to study tablet formation of polyethylene oxides (PEOs) with different molecular masses by means of 3D modeling and comparing the results to those of other more traditional techniques, such as Heckel analysis, analysis by the pressure-time function and energy analysis.

Oxidation of crystalline polyethylene

Combustion and Flame, 2015
Abstract Auto-oxidation of polyethylene (PE) is of a common occurrence and could be triggered by several physical and chemical factors. In this study, for the first time, we report a comprehensive theoretical account on the initial oxidation of crystalline PE at low temperatures prior to its melting.

Structural, optical, thermal, and dielectric properties of polyethylene oxide/carboxymethyl cellulose blend filled with barium titanate

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 2019
Nanocomposite films of polyethylene oxide/carboxymethyl cellulose (PEO/CMC)/barium titanate (BaTiO3) were prepared using the solution casting technique. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis depicted the semicrystalline nature of PEO/CMC, which

Effect of polyethylene oxide on flotation of molybdenite fines

, 2020
The processing of low-grade deposits of molybdenite is becoming more urgent with the gradual depletion of high-grade molybdenite ores in China. Low flotation efficiency has been suffered due to finer sizes liberation resulted from finely disseminated ...

Biological responses to polyethylene oxide modified polyethylene terephthalate surfaces

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1991
AbstractPolyethylene oxide (PEO) of molecular weights 5,000, 10,000, 18,500, and 100,000 g/mol was covalently grafted to surfaces of otherwise cell adhesive polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films. Analysis of these surfaces by measurement of contact angles and ESCA verified the presence of the grafted PEO.
