An Extension Of Weiler-Atherton Algorithm To Cope With The Self-intersecting Polygon [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In this paper a new algorithm has been proposed which can fix the problem of Weiler Atherton algorithm. The problem of Weiler Atherton algorithm lies in clipping self intersecting polygon. Clipping self intersecting polygon is not considered in Weiler Atherton algorithm and hence it is also a main disadvantage of this algorithm.

Anticipatory Judgment of Tennis Serve Displayed by the Human Models of Computer Graphics (CG)

open access: yes, 2009
This study examined the perceptual effect of color and /or figuration information in human models created using computer graphics (CG) on anticipatory judgments of tennis serves. Fourteen skilled and fourteen novice tennis players attempted to anticipate

Personalized Kirigami Strain Sensors for in vivo Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Rapid prototyping of strain sensors is demonstrated using a laser cutter that both converts carbon‐based material to strain responsible graphene and generates cuts in a kirigami‐style pattern that allows enhanced substrate flexibility. This method is used to generate wearable sensors for monitoring heart rate, limb/finger motion, and abdominal ...

A biogeographical approach to characterizing the climatic, physical and geomorphic niche of the most widely distributed mangrove species, Avicennia marina

open access: yesDiversity and Distributions, Volume 29, Issue 1, Page 89-108, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Aim Mangroves are coastal ecosystems exposed to terrestrial, marine, geomorphic and climatic forcings operating in concert, making the mangrove niche hard to define, as evidenced by extremely poor restoration outcomes. We have developed a set of high‐resolution species distribution models and interpreted the variables that have the largest ...

Transition Metal Molybdates Emerging Materials for High‐Performance Supercapacitors: A Machine Learning Analysis

open access: yesBattery Energy, EarlyView.
This review outlines a systematic summary of the recent development of transition metal molybdates (AMoO4 where A = Ni, Co, Mn, Fe, and Zn) based materials for energy storage devices. The advanced tools such as density functional theory (DFT) and machine learning analysis are provided to establish the relationship between materials and electrochemical ...

Clipping of Arbitrary Polygons with Degeneracies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Polygon clipping is a frequent operation in Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian methods, Computer Graphics, GIS, and CAD. In fact, clipping algorithms are said to be one of the most important operations in computer graphics. Thus, efficient and general polygon clipping algorithms are of great importance. Greiner et al.

KURVA BEZIER DAN BRESENHAM UNTUK PEMBUATAN LINGKARAN

open access: yesJurnal Informatika, 2001
One of the primitive in computer graphics is a circle. It needs a special method to draw a circle like Bezier method and Bresenham algorithm. According to Bezier method, it use polygon control points to draw circle but it use coordinate points of ...

Inaccessibility-Inside Theorem for Point in Polygon [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
The manuscript presents a theoretical proof in conglomeration with new definitions on Inaccessibility and Inside for a point S related to a simple or self intersecting polygon P. The proposed analytical solution depicts a novel way of solving the point in polygon problem by employing the properties of epigraphs and hypographs, explicitly.

Anatomy of modern sedimentary volcanoes produced by gas‐charged groundwater liquefaction, Lake Powell, Hite, Utah: Implications for the recognition and interpretation of ancient sedimentary volcanoes

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, EarlyView.
Two non‐seismically generated sedimentary volcanoes were excavated on the Colorado River delta in Lake Powell, Utah, USA, in order to characterise the internal structures. Sedimentary volcanoes are commonly employed as tools in palaeoseismic reconstruction, thus it is important to establish criteria to differentiate non‐seismic‐generated sedimentary ...

South American Great Basin: Limnogeological analysis of the Salina del Bebedero Basin, Argentina (Late Pleistocene‐recent)

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, EarlyView.
. The Bebedero tectonic depression in San Luis province, Argentina, is a closed drainage basin that has formed as a result of block‐faulting and rifting processes. The Bebedero lake exhibits notable similarities to the endorheic watersheds of the western United States, particularly those of Death Valley, the Saline Valley and, to a lesser extent, the ...
