Cedrela fissilis Vell. Inner Bark: LC–MS/MS‐Based Chemical Profiling and Toxicological Effects
ABSTRACT Investigating the mechanistic toxicity of plant extracts is essential for safety assessment. The predictive toxicological effects of Cedrela fissilis were evaluated, and LC–MS/MS‐based chemical profiling was performed. The hydroethanolic extract (HeECf) and ethyl acetate (EA) fraction were assessed in multimodel systems with different levels ...

Gut Microbiota: A Potential Role in Modulating Carcinogenesis and Response to Anti‐Cancer Therapies
ABSTRACT Background The effects of microbiota on cancer are not only limited to their role in oncogenesis, progression and response to anticancer therapies; the disease itself is also influenced by microbiota. In recent investigations, alterations in the gut bacterial community between cancer patients and healthy individuals have been reported ...

The gut microbiota of Gansu zokor is classified into two enterotypes, which exhibit distinct seasonal and habitat distributions, microbial diversity, and community compositions dominated by different Bacillota‐to‐Bacteroidota ratios. These enterotypes correlate with host body size and are characterized by unique probiotic and pathogenic biomarkers ...

ABSTRACT Cadmium (Cd) pollution poses a serious threat to crop yields and plant health. As a bacterium that promotes plant growth, Bacillus velezensis has been proven to promote plant growth under non‐biological coercive conditions. However, the molecular mechanism of B. velezensis‐mediated Cd toxicity alleviation of wheat is still not well understood.

Preparative Synthesis of dTDP-L-Rhamnose Through Combined Enzymatic Pathways
dTDP-L-rhamnose, an important precursor of O-antigen, was prepared on a large scale from dTMP by executing an one-pot reaction in which six enzymes are involved. Two enzymes, dTDP-4-keto-6-deoxy-D-glucose 3,5-epimerase and dTDP-4-keto-rhamnose reductase,

The Structure of the Chemotype Determining Locus in Cannabis sativa
ABSTRACT The chemical phenotype (chemotype) of Cannabis sativa is defined by the ratio of cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) to Δ9‐tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA). Although the Mendelian segregation of these traits suggests a single‐locus biallelic system, recent sequencing and phylogenetic evidence indicate they are encoded by two distinct, tightly linked ...

Lecanicillium aphanocladii: a biocontrol agent against insect pests and phytopathogens
Recent research findings on the biocontrol potential of Lecanicillium aphanocladii fungus against insect‐pests and plant diseases were highlighted. This review indicates that several L. aphanocladii strains show great potential to be developed as multipurpose biocontrol agents active against several insect‐pests, plant diseases and plant parasitic ...
