Research Progress on Polymer-based Radiative Cooling Materials

open access: yesLiang you shipin ke-ji
In the process of grain storage, the use of low-temperature grain storage technology can effectively reduce grain losses during storage and ensure grain quality, which is of great significance for maintaining a stable grain supply.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

PyGAMD: Python graphics processing unit‐accelerated molecular dynamics software

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances
PyGAMD (Python GPU‐accelerated molecular dynamics software) is a molecular simulation platform developed from scratch. It is designed for soft matter, especially for polymer by integrating coarse‐grained/multi‐scale models, methods, and force fields.

Hydrogel technology increases resilience of Inga edulis seedlings under drought conditions [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
Technologies that can mitigate the stressful effect of water deficit and assist in seedling recovery are necessary. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of hydrogel doses on mitigating water deficit stress and the recovery of Inga edulis Mart ...

Phase separation in mixtures of colloids and long ideal polymer coils

open access: yes, 2000
Colloidal suspensions with free polymer coils which are larger than the colloidal particles are considered. The polymer-colloid interaction is modeled by an extension of the Asakura-Oosawa model. Phase separation occurs into dilute and dense fluid phases

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Polymer Delivery Systems for Long-Acting Antiretroviral Drugs

open access: yesPharmaceutics
The success of long-acting (LA) drug delivery systems (DDSs) is linked to their biocompatible polymers. These are used for extended therapeutic release. For treatment or prevention of human immune deficiency virus type one (HIV-1) infection, LA DDSs hold

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 regulates cell adhesion and membrane protrusive activity of ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
