DNA Fingerprinting of Resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis Isolates in Iran by IS6110-RFLP Method
The objective of the research was to identify resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains and recognize their molecular epidemiology and how they are disseminated in order to determine the cause and the effect of drug resistance and the process of its ...

16S rRNA terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism for the characterization of the nasopharyngeal microbiota [PDF]
A novel non-culture based 16S rRNA Terminal Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (T-RFLP) method using the restriction enzymes Tsp509I and Hpy166II was developed for the characterization of the nasopharyngeal microbiota and validated using recently ...

MOLECULAR CHARACTERIZATION OF ‘Candidatus PHYTOPLASMA MALI’ STRAINS FROM BULGARIA AND POLAND
During 2015, samples from 22 apple trees showing proliferation symptoms were collected in southwest Bulgaria and Central and South Poland and tested for phytoplasma presence. ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma mali’ was identified in 18 samples based on results of

Homoplasy corrected estimation of genetic similarity from AFLP bands, and the effect of the number of bands on the precision of estimation [PDF]
AFLP is a DNA fingerprinting technique, resulting in binary band presence–absence patterns, called profiles, with known or unknown band positions. We model AFLP as a sampling procedure of fragments, with lengths sampled from a distribution.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...
