Citrus of the world: a Citrus directory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997

open access: yes, 2011
Introduction. In Morocco, citriculture faces up an increasing combination of biotic (Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) / Phytophthora spp.) and abiotic stresses (salinity, alkalinity and drought).

Characterization in greenhouse conditions of two salt tolerant citrumelo (Citrus paradisi Macf. x Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf.) cultivars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Increasing salinity in Mediterranean soils and the wide spread of citrus tristeza virus have challenged the use of sour orange (Citrus aurantium) and have accelerated the process of seeking alternative rootstocks.

Transcriptional changes in CiFT-introduced transgenic trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata L. Raf.) [PDF]

open access: yesTree Physiology, 2010
Ectopic expression of a Flowering Locus T (CiFT) from Citrus confers an early flowering phenotype on trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata L. Raf.). To profile transcriptional effects of CiFT, mRNA extracted from the shoots of the transgenic trifoliate orange was subjected to genetic analysis using a 22-K oligo DNA microarray.

Targeting Regulation of Macrophage to Treat Metabolic Disease: Role of Phytochemicals

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 58, Issue 7, July 2025.
One‐third of the world's population is affected by metabolic syndrome. Complicated pathogenesis and limited drugs cause the growing prevalence of metabolic syndrome. Macrophage‐mediated metaflammation is closely associated with the development of metabolic syndrome. The role of phytochemicals targeting macrophages in the treatment of metabolic syndrome

Investigating the potential of cybridization to enhance salinity tolerance in citrus rootstocks

open access: yesAfrican and Mediterranean Agricultural Journal - Al Awamia
Cybridization is a plant biotechnology tool used to enhance the salinity tolerance of citrus rootstocks. To assess its efficacy, we used cuttings from six diploid cybrids generated through symmetric fusion, alongside their respective parental lines.

Melatonin Enhances Panax vietnamensis Resistance to Leaf Blight Pathogen Neofusicoccum ribis via the PvWRKY40–PvCOMT2 Module‐Driven Lignin Biosynthesis

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 26, Issue 7, July 2025.
Panax vietnamensis synthesises melatonin to suppress PvWRKY40 expression, thereby relieving its repression of PvCOMT2. This derepression promotes lignin biosynthesis and enhances resistance to Neofusicoccum ribis. ABSTRACT Panax vietnamensis, a medicinally valuable perennial herb, is highly susceptible to leaf blight under cultivation; however, the ...

Inheritance of Thornlessness in Trifoliate Orange[Poncirus trifoliata(L.) Raf.].

open access: yesEngei Gakkai zasshi, 1999
The inheritance of a thornless characteristic in trifoliate orange was studied. Ten-month-old seedlings of the progenies that were obtained from selfing and crossing of the trifoliate orange strains, including thornless ones, which were observed for development of thorns, were classified into a thorny or thornless type.
