Reversed boiling curve phenomenon on surfaces with interlaced wettability

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
We experimentally investigated the effects of contact angle difference of heterogeneous wettability surfaces on pool boiling. For surfaces exhibiting heterogeneous wettability, this study determined that the pool boiling curve experiences a superheat ...

ZDHHC9‐Mediated Palmitoylation of ACSL4 Drives Ferroptosis in Diabetes Mellitus–Induced Erectile Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus‐induced erectile dysfunction (DMED) is a highly prevalent complication among diabetic patients; however, its underlying pathogenic mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Metabolic disorder is a hallmark of diabetes, yet its precise contribution to DMED progression is not well defined.

Gemella morbillorum Promotes Colorectal Carcinogenesis: LPBDCP‐Mediated Invasion Activates Ras Signaling and Destabilizes p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gut microbiota dysbiosis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis. A global fecal metagenomic analysis identified Gemella morbillorum as a key contributor to the CRC‐associated microbiota. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that Gemella morbillorum is enriched in CRC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues.

DMAP1 Deficiency Suppresses Lung Cancer Progression by Destabilizing Replication Fork and Activating IFN Signaling‐Mediated Anti‐tumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer‐related death. We investigated the role of the epigenetic regulator DMAP1 in NSCLC and found that its loss induces replication stress and DNA damage. This in turn activates type I IFN signaling via the cGAS–STING pathway and transcriptional ISG de‐repression, enhancing anti‐tumor immune responses ...

Experiment Study of Pool Nucleate Boiling Heat Transfer of Aqueous LiBr Solution at Normal Atmospheric Pressure

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2013
Boiling regeneration of liquid desiccant solution, which can reduce desiccant air-conditioning’s dependence on the state of regenerator air, is different from spraying-type regeneration.

Visualization of boiling structures in high heat–flux pool-boiling

open access: yesInternational Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2003
Abstract The present paper presents experimental results of observation of liquid–solid contact and bubble behaviors around the critical heat flux of saturated and subcooled pool boiling on a plate of single crystal sapphire. The observation was conducted from the backside of a rectangular boiling surface and also from the side and backside of a ...
