MoPce1, an atypical CAP/PR‐1 family effector, is essential for Magnaporthe oryzae virulence. MoPce1 functions by interacting with the rice catalase OsCATC to disrupt ROS homeostasis, thereby promoting host susceptibility. ABSTRACT Plant pathogens employ a diverse array of effectors to facilitate host colonisation, including evolutionarily conserved ...

First Report of Marssonina brunnea f. sp. brunnea on Hybrid Poplar in the Pacific Northwest
Marssonina brunnea (Ellis and Everh.) Magnus f. sp. brunnea Spiers is the most damaging Marssonina sp. affecting Populus spp. in the world (1). First described from eastern North America at the turn of the century, it subsequently became a serious disease of hybrid poplar in Europe in the 1960s and in New Zealand in 1976 (1).

SUMMARY Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is an important food crop that is sensitive to high temperatures, which cause major changes in the transcriptome and a reduction in yield. In several plant species, DNA methylation has been reported to influence gene expression, particularly under abiotic stress conditions.
