Let $f(n,\ell)$ be the maximum integer such that every set of $n$ points in the plane with at most $\ell$ collinear contains a subset of $f(n,\ell)$ points with no three collinear. First we prove that if $\ell \leq O(\sqrt{n})$ then $f(n,\ell)\geq Ω(\sqrt{\frac{n}{\ln \ell}})$.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
