A 3D Human Neuron‐on‐Chip Platform to Monitor Neuronal Injury Responses
This study presents a novel 3D Neuron‐on‐Chip model that can maintain human PSC‐derived excitatory prefrontal cortex neurons in 3D hydrogels and can be used to monitor neuronal injury responses over time. Results show injury‐induced acute neuronal excitotoxicity, declining neuronal connectivity, and the activation of a neurodegenerative, SASP‐like ...

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

TOC represents the synthesis of theory‐guided novel near‐infrared (NIR) light‐absorbing organic photosensitizers (OPS) enabling redox‐induced tumor phototherapy and single‐cell organelle tracking. ABSTRACT The design of organic photosensitizers that operate efficiently in the near‐infrared (NIR) region remains challenging due to the need to balance ...

Stability of Medicinal Nanoemulsions to Spaceflight: Insights From the StarMed Experiment
Chitosan‐coated melatonin nanoemulsions (MN) recovered from a sounding rocket mission preserve droplet size and controlled‐release behavior, whereas uncoated nanoemulsions show ageing‐driven droplet growth and increased accessible drug fraction. Simple polymer coatings thus enhance the flight resilience of liquid space medicines under cumulative launch

Interferometric power amplifiers
Optics Letters, 1989A general method of producing multielement amplifiers having a single output beam is described. The basic building blocks for these are either Michelson interferometers or Mach-Zehnder interferometers modified by the inclusion of gain in at least one arm of the interferometer.

The Doherty power amplifier (DPA) is hereby presented and described starting from the basic idea up to more advanced and state-of-art results and guidelines. The DPA historical aspect is also covered, describing the timeline of its evolution. Moreover, the reasons related to why this architecture, roughly 80 years after its invention, is still on its ...
