Power Divider/Combiner

open access: yes, 2022
With the remarkable progress in the use of Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G, there is a demand for higher performance such as miniaturization, broadband/multiband, low loss, and high integration for several microwave circuits. This chapter treats microwave power dividers/combiners used in amplifiers, mixers, phase shifters, antenna feeding networks, and

Compact Ultra-Wideband Wilkinson Power Dividers Using Linearly Tapered Transmission Lines

open access: yes, 2022
In this work, compact extended ultra-wideband (UWB) Wilkinson power dividers (WPDs) using tapered transmission lines are analyzed, designed, and measured.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Design of UWB Filtering Impedance Transformers and Power Dividers Using Stepped-Impedance Resonators

open access: yes, 2023
This study presents a novel design of ultra-wideband (UWB) impedance transformers and power dividers with filtering capabilities. Based on the UWB impedance matching network, the UWB filtering impedance transformers are designed, and the UWB filtering ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Design of 3D stacked wideband Wilkinson power divider based on rectangular micro‐coaxial process

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation
Based on transmission line theory, a 4‐way wideband coupled‐line Wilkinson power divider is designed by the authors, operating from 6 to 18 GHz. It is established by using a novel manufacturing technology with 3D stacked micro‐coaxial line, realising ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

The Design and Characterization of a Prototype Wideband Voltage Sensor Based on a Resistive Divider

open access: yesSensors, 2017
The most important advantage of voltage dividers over traditional voltage transformers is that voltage dividers do not have an iron core with non-linear hysteresis characteristics. The voltage dividers have a linear behavior with respect to over-voltages

Regenerative GaAs MMIC Frequency Dividers for 28 and 14 GHz

open access: yes, 2000
The design and characterization of two regenerative frequency dividers based on a commercial foundry GaAs HEMT-process are described. The dividers are intended to be used in a 56 GHz phase locked frequency generator.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
