Model Independent Primordial Power Spectrum from Maxima, Boomerang, and DASI Data

open access: yes, 2002
A model-independent determination of the primordial power spectrum of matter density fluctuations could uniquely probe physics of the very early universe, and provide powerful constraints on inflationary models.

Spin observables for pion production from pd collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We have calculated the proton analyzing power A_{y0} of the pion-production reaction from pd collisions for one energy close to threshold and for another in the region of the $\Delta$-resonance.

Human Brain Dynamics Reflect the Correctness and Presentation Modality of Physics Concept Memory Retrieval

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2020
Human memory retrieval is the core cognitive process of the human brain whenever it is processing the information. Less study has focused on exploring the neural correlates of the memory retrieval of scientific concepts when presented in word and picture

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

Investigation of the Uniformity of Gel Shrinkage by Imaging Tracer Particles Using X‐Ray Microtomography

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
A novel method for tracking structural changes in gels using widely accessible microcomputed tomography is presented and validated for various hydro‐, alco‐, and aerogels. The core idea of the method is to track positions of micrometer‐sized tracer particles entrapped in the gel and relate them to the density of the gel network.

Emergent failures and cascades in power grids: a statistical physics perspective [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2017
We model power grids transporting electricity generated by intermittent renewable sources as complex networks, where line failures can emerge indirectly by noisy power input at the nodes.

New Physics and the Landau Pole [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
In scalar field theories the Landau pole is an ultraviolet singularity in the running coupling constant that indicates a mass scale at which the theory breaks down and new physics must intervene.
