Circuit transients due to negative bias arcs on a high-voltage solar array in low Earth orbit [PDF]
Arcing to negatively biased, exposed solar cell interconnects on solar arrays placed in plasma environments was established. Arcing, however, may cause damaging interference with the operation of electrical power systems in spacecraft planned to be ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Chandra observations of the accretion-driven millisecond X-ray pulsars XTE J0929-314 and XTE J1751-305 in quiescence [PDF]
(Abridge) We observed the accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars XTE J0929-314 and XTE J1751-305 in their quiescent states using Chandra. From XTE J0929-314 we detected 22 photons (0.3-8 keV) in 24.4 ksec, resulting in a count rate of 9 x 10^{-4} c/s.

A regulatory axis involving APE1, AUF1, and miR‐221 is proposed. Pri‐miR‐221 is processed by DROSHA and DICER to generate mature miR‐221, which targets p27Kip1 mRNA. APE1 and AUF1 compete for pre‐miR‐221 binding. Reduced APE1/AUF1 levels impair miR‐221 biogenesis, decrease p27Kip1 mRNA degradation, and promote cell cycle progression, chemoresistance ...

Anchorage‐independent and faster growth in clonal population from UV‐irradiated NER‐deficient cells
UV‐irradiated cells expressing a DDB2 mutant protein unable to interact with PCNA (DDB2PCNA‐) form clones able to grow without anchorage. Different experimental approaches reveal heterogeneity in cell cycle regulation and drug response within these clones, emphasizing the crucial role of the DDB2‐PCNA interaction in preventing cellular transformation ...

Implementation of the frequency dependent line model in a real-time power system simulator
In this paper is described the implementation of the frequency-dependent line model (FD-Line) in a real-time digital power system simulator. The main goal with such development is to describe a general procedure to incorporate new realistic models of ...
