Pre-existing maternal IgG antibodies as a protective factor against congenital cytomegalovirus infection: A mother-child prospective cohort study

open access: yesEBioMedicine, 2022
Summary: Background: An understanding of the correlation between maternal immunity and congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is critical for informing the design and evaluation of an effective maternal vaccine.

Cytomegalovirus and Epstein‐Barr Infections: Prevalence and Impact on Patients with Hematological Diseases

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV) infections are widely distributed throughout the world. EBV is linked to various hematological and autoimmune disorders whereas CMV might play important role in the progression of chronic hematological diseases, such as hemoglobinopathies, lymphomas, myelomas, hemophilia, and aplastic and sickle cell ...

Features of IgG-antibodies production to individual Cytomegalovirus proteins in various eye diseases (age-related macular degeneration and central serous chorioretinopathy)

open access: yesИнфекция и иммунитет, 2021
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) are diseases targeting the posterior segment of the eye that often lead to lowered visual functions. Pathogenesis of such disorders largely remains unclear.

Tetraspanins CD9 and CD81 localize to the assembly compartment but not MViBs.

open access: yes, 2022
S7A-B HFF cells were infected at an MOI of 1 with HCMV-pp150-SNAP-gM-mScarlet-I. Cells were fixed at 4 dpi and stained with specific antibodies for CD9 (⍺CD9) and CD81 (⍺CD81).

The Two Major Structural Phosphoproteins (pp65 and pp150) of Human Cytomegalovirus and Their Antigenic Properties

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1987
Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) purified from cell culture contains two dominant structural phosphoproteins with apparent molecular weights of 65,000 and 150,000, designated as pp65 and pp150 respectively. The humoral immune response of infected individuals against pp65 is relatively weak and is not always detectable by Western blot analyses.

Tetraspanin CD63 localizes to MViBs.

open access: yes, 2022
5A HFF cells were infected at an MOI of 1 with HCMV-pp150-SNAP-gM-mScarlet-I, fixed at 4 dpi, stained for CD63, and whole cells were imaged using confocal laser scanning microscopy. From a representative cell, two slices are shown.

Establishment of an indirect ELISA method for detection of human cytomegalovirus [PDF]

open access: yes精准医学杂志
Objective To establish an indirect ELISA method for the detection of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) based on HCMV IE1/pp65/pp150 recombinant protein. Methods From June to December 2024, 5 serum samples from HCMV IgG-positive patients, 50 serum samples from

SCP mediates pp150 binding to the capsid.

open access: yes, 2013
(A–C) Density slices showing that pp150 tegument protein binds to the capsid triplex with its LHB (lower helix bundle). The binding sites on the triplex are labeled with “*”.

Mapping of serologically relevant regions of human cytomegalovirus phosphoprotein pp150 using synthetic peptides

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1991
The entire amino acid sequence of human cytomegalo-virus (HCMV) 150K matrix phosphoprotein (pp150), consisting of 1048 amino acid residues, was divided into 95 overlapping 20 amino acid peptides which were synthesized on polyethylene rods. The rods were subjected to ELISA with pooled anti-HCMV-positive and anti-HCMV-negative sera.
