Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Practical stability of nonlinear systems

open access: yes, 1990
This is the first book that deals with practical stability and its development. It presents a systematic study of the theory of practical stability in terms of two different measures and arbitrary sets and demonstrates the manifestations of general ...

GENERALIZED PRACTICAL STABILITY RESULTS BY PERTURBING LYAPUNOV FUNCTIONS

open access: yes, 1995
It is known that practical stability is neither stronger nor weaker than Lyapunov stability. In this paper we combine perturbing Lyapunov technique with stability in terms of two measures to obtain nonuniform practical stability results under weaker ...

Why human connection is the true metric of research success

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

To the question of the stabilization of motion metods of practical stability

open access: yesEnergy and automation, 2018
Topicality. When solving a number of problems associated with the design of complex control systems [1-3], it often becomes necessary to adjust the motion in the vicinity of the calculated trajectories set at the initial moment of time and belong to some dynamic sets of phase space [2, 3].

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

A Sufficient Condition for the Practical Stability of Riemann-Liouville Fractional Nonlinear Systems with Time Delays

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This study addresses the practical stability analysis of Riemann-Liouville fractional-order nonlinear systems with time delays. We first establish a rigorous formulation of initial conditions that aligns with the properties of Riemann-Liouville ...

ϕ0-boundedness and practical ϕ0-stability of difference equations

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we develop the notions of ϕ0-boundedness and practical ϕ0-stability for difference equations via perturbing cone-valued Lyapunov functions, and obtain sufficient conditions of ϕ0-boundedness and practical ϕ0 ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.
