Kepler observations of A–F pre-main-sequence stars in Upper Scorpius: discovery of six new δ Scuti and one γ Doradus stars [PDF]
We present light curves and periodograms for 27 stars in the young Upper Scorpius association (age=$11 \pm 1$\,Myr) obtained with the Kepler spacecraft. This association is only the second stellar grouping to host several pulsating pre-main sequence (PMS)

The -M relationship in pre-main sequence stars [PDF]
Abstract We examine the recent data and analysis of Natta et al. concerning the accretion rate on to young stars as a function of stellar mass, and conclude that the apparently steep dependence of accretion rate on mass is strongly driven by selection/detection thresholds.

Pulsation in pre-main sequence stars [PDF]
AbstractAsteroseismology has been proven to be a successful tool to unravel details of the internal structure for different types of stars in various stages of evolution well after birth. We can now show that it has similar power for pre-main sequence (pre-MS) objects.

Seismology of Pre‐Main‐Sequence Stars in NGC 6530 [PDF]
Nonradial p-mode oscillation spectra, computed from a dense grid of pre-main-sequence models, are fit to observed oscillation spectra of several stars in the young cluster NGC 6530. The five stars we consider, all previously identified as pulsating pre-main-sequence stars, each have from two to nine observed oscillation frequencies.

Very young ( t ≲ 10 Myr) stars possess strong magnetic fields that channel ionized gas from the interiors of their circumstellar disks to the surface of the star.

UBVRI photometric comparison sequences for symbiotic stars [PDF]
We present accurate UBVRI photometric comparison sequences around 20 symbiotic stars. The sequences extend over wide brightness and color ranges, and are suited to cover quiescence as well as outburst phases. The sequences are intended to assist both present time photometry as well as measurement of photographic plates from historical archives.

J-type Carbon Stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud [PDF]
A sample of 1497 carbon stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud has been observed in the red part of the spectrum with the 2dF facility on the AAT. Of these, 156 have been identified as J-type (i.e. 13C-rich) carbon stars using a technique which provides a clear distinction between J stars and the normal N-type carbon stars that comprise the bulk of the ...

NGC 2362: a Template for Early Stellar Evolution [PDF]
We present UBVRI photometry for the young open cluster NGC 2362. From analysis of the appropriate color-color and color-magnitude diagrams we derive the fundamental parameters of the NGC 2362 cluster to be: age = 5 (+1-2) Myr, distance = 1480 pc, E(B-V ...

In vivo IL‐10 produced by tissue‐resident tolDC is involved in maintaining/inducing tolerance. Depending on the agent used for ex vivo tolDC generation, cells acquire common features but prime T cells towards anergy, FOXP3+ Tregs, or Tr1 cells according to the levels of IL‐10 produced. Ex vivo‐induced tolDC were administered to patients to re‐establish/
