Dietary Prebiotics Modulate Omeprazole‐Induced Alterations in the Gut Microbial Signature
Dietary prebiotic sources such as blueberries and strawberries may help improve proton pump inhibitor (PPI)‐induced gut dysbiosis. These berries represent a promising nutritional strategy for mitigating PPI‐associated gut dysbiosis and inflammation. ABSTRACT Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are commonly used to treat heartburn and acid‐related disorders ...

ABSTRACT Rationale Hemicelluloses are abundant carbohydrate components in plant cell walls. They play a crucial structural role in binding cellulose microfibrils, in addition to other biological functions. Their high structural variability directly influences their biological properties, making it important to establish a structure–function ...

Galectin‐10 crystals prepared by cell‐free protein crystallization serve as the scaffold to capture the saccharides to determine the atomic‐resolution structure of a trisaccharide bound to protein. Molecular dynamics simulation combined with the mutation of scaffold crystals offers insights into how the binding site architecture modulates saccharide ...

Investigating Impacts of Amino Acids on the Structural Stability of Anionic Biomembranes
Glycine and lysine interact with the anionic membrane composed of POPC and POPG (1 : 1). Lysine partitions into the membrane and induces structural alterations, while the membrane remains impermeable to it. In contrast, glycine causes no physicochemical damage and permeates through the membrane.
