Thermostable Bioluminescent Intercalating Dyes for Real‐Time, Integrated Nucleic Acid Amplification and Detection

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We present a bioluminescent diagnostic platform that integrates DNA amplification and detection in a single step. The engineering of thermostable luciferase‐intercalating dye conjugates and controlled release of caged luciferin substrates enable real‐time, detection of attomolar concentrations of viral DNA within 30 min.

Precancerous Condition of the Human Liver

open access: yesThe Tohoku Journal of Experimental Medicine, 1968
The mean radius R of the hepatic lobules was defined as the radius of a hypothetical cylinder made by re-arranging the total volume of the hepatic paren-chyma around an axis of the length of the total hepatic veins in the liver. In normal livers R was about 250μ in newborns and attained 350-400μ in adults.
