A computational predictor of human episodic memory based on a theta phase precession network. [PDF]
In the rodent hippocampus, a phase precession phenomena of place cell firing with the local field potential (LFP) theta is called "theta phase precession" and is considered to contribute to memory formation with spike time dependent plasticity (STDP). On

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Towards models of gravitational waveforms from generic binaries II: Modelling precession effects with a single effective precession parameter [PDF]
Gravitational waves (GWs) emitted by generic black-hole binaries show a rich structure that directly reflects the complex dynamics introduced by the precession of the orbital plane, which poses a real challenge to the development of generic waveform ...

Distinguishing a Kerr-like black hole and a naked singularity in perfect fluid dark matter via precession frequencies [PDF]
We study a Kerr-like black hole and naked singularity in perfect fluid dark matter (PFDM). The critical value of spin parameter $a_c$ is presented to differentiate the black hole from naked singularity.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Orbital tuning, eccentricity, and the frequency modulation of climatic precession [PDF]
The accuracy of geologic chronologies can, in principle, be improved through orbital tuning, the systematic adjustment of a chronology to bring the associated record into greater alignment with an orbitally derived signal.

Spin-precession vortex and spin-precession supercurrent stability in $^3$He-B [PDF]
The Letter analyzes stability of spin precession currents in superfluid $^3$He-B when the precession angle is very close to 104$^\circ$. In this limit a spin-precession vortex has a very large core, and a barrier blocking motion of these large-core ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
