Approaches to CHAMP precise orbit determination

open access: yes, 2003
With a tailored gravity field model, the dynamic restitution of the CHAMP orbit can be carried out quite accurately. The solution can be based on the onboard accelerometer data or on dynamical models with additional parameters. Beside the dynamic mode, also a geometric/kinematic satellite position determination is implemented in the GFZ POD software ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

TRIFLE DIFFERENCE APPROACH TO LOW EARTH ORBITER PRECISION ORBIT DETERMINATION

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2003
A precise kinematic orbit determination (P-KOD) procedure for Low Earth Orbiter(LEO) using the GPS ion-free triple differenced carrier phases is presented. Because the triple differenced observables provide only relative information, the first epoch`s positions of the orbit should be held fixed. Then, both forward and backward filtering was executed to

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Cell density–dependent nuclear‐cytoplasmic shuttling of SETDB1 integrates with Hippo signaling to regulate YAP1‐mediated transcription

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At low cell density, SETDB1 and YAP1 accumulate in the nucleus. As cell density increases, the Hippo pathway is gradually activated, and SETDB1 is associated with increased YAP1 phosphorylation. At high cell density, phosphorylated YAP1 is sequestered in the cytoplasm, while SETDB1 becomes polyubiquitinated and degraded by the ubiquitin–proteasome ...

Precise Orbit Determination of GPS Satellites Using Phase Observables [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1997
The accuracy of user position by GPS is heavily dependent upon the accuracy of satellite position which is usually transmitted to GPS users in radio signals.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

GPS Based Reduced-Dynamic Orbit Determination for Low Earth Orbiters with Ambiguity Fixing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2015
With the ever-increasing number of satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for scientific missions, the precise determination of the position and velocity of the satellite is a necessity.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Precise Orbit Determination for Low Earth Orbit Satellites

open access: yes, 2006
The precise orbit determination problem is to accurately determine the position and velocity vectors of an orbiting satellite. In this paper we review the general contents of the orbit determination process, with particular emphasis on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
