Impact of molecular imaging in preclinical cancer research [PDF]
Development and progression of any cancer disease are the result of various alterations at the cellular and molecular level. This comprises changes in expression of genes, display of surface molecules, composition of extracellular matrix, and homing of circulating cells to the tumor site.

KMT2A degradation is observed in decitabine‐responsive acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells
We demonstrate that decitabine (DEC) not only degrades the DNA methyltransferase DNMT1 but also the leukemic driver lysine methyltransferase KMT2A likely due to structural similarity of the DNA‐binding CXXC domains. DEC influences KMT2A downstream processes and synergizes with menin inhibitor revumenib (REV) to decrease leukemic cell proliferation, and

Transient receptor potential melastatin‐4 (TRPM4) is overexpressed in prostate cancer (PCa). Knockout of TRPM4 resulted in reduced PCa tumor spheroid size and decreased PCa tumor spheroid outgrowth. In addition, lack of TRPM4 increased cell death in PCa tumor spheroids.

Preclinical Imaging: an Essential Ally in Modern Biosciences [PDF]
Translational research is changing the practice of modern medicine and the way in which health problems are approached and solved. The use of small-animal models in basic and preclinical sciences is a major keystone for these kinds of research and development strategies, representing a bridge between discoveries at the molecular level and clinical ...
