First-in-man evaluation of 124I-PGN650: A PET tracer for detecting phosphatidylserine as a biomarker of the solid tumor microenvironment [PDF]
Purpose: PGN650 is a F(ab′) 2 antibody fragment that targets phosphatidylserine (PS), a marker normally absent that becomes exposed on tumor cells and tumor vasculature in response to oxidative stress and increases in response to therapy.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Radiolabeled bombesin derivatives for preclinical oncological imaging [PDF]
Despite efforts, cancer is still one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with approximately 14 million new cases and 8.2 million cancer-related deaths each year, according to the World Health Organization. Among the strategies to reduce cancer progression and improving its management, implementing early detection technologies is

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors have revolutionized cancer therapy, yet the efficacy of these treatments is often limited by the heterogeneous and hypoxic tumor microenvironment (TME) of solid tumors. In the TME, programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression
