Hierarchical Matrices Method and Its Application in Electromagnetic Integral Equations
Hierarchical (H-) matrices method is a general mathematical framework providing a highly compact representation and efficient numerical arithmetic. When applied in integral-equation- (IE-) based computational electromagnetics, H-matrices can be regarded ...

Maximum-weight-basis preconditioners
This paper analyzes a novel method for constructing preconditioners for diagonally-dominant symmetric positivedefinite matrices. The method discussed here is based on a simple idea: we construct M by simply dropping offdiagonal nonzeros from A and ...

Preconditioners for domain decomposition methods
Within the FETI domain decomposition method applied to nonsymmetric linear systems, a generic set of algebraic parallel global preconditioners is presented. They can be applied to most problems with a saddle-point formulation.

Model of circNrip1 (cNrip1) upregulation driving neuropathic pain mechanisms. After peripheral nerve injury, increased FUS triggers the formation and upregulation of cNrip1 in injured DRG neurons. Upregulated cNrip1 recruits SYNCRIP to the 3′‐UTR of Tlr2 mRNA by binding to both, thereby promoting SYNCRIP‐triggered Tlr2 mRNA stability and increasing ...

An Efficient Method for Model Reduction in Diffuse Optical Tomography
We present an efficient method for the reduction of model equations in the linearized diffuse optical tomography (DOT) problem. We first implement the maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimator and Tikhonov regularization, which are based on applying ...

Study Of SPAI Preconditioners For Convective Problems
In this paper we present an experimental study of SPAI (SParse Aproximation of the Inverse) preconditioners. We are specially interested in the SPAI preconditioners performance for convective problems.

A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

Direct optimization of BPX preconditioners
We consider an automatic construction of locally optimal preconditioners for positive definite linear systems. To achieve this goal, we introduce a differentiable loss function that does not explicitly include the estimation of minimal eigenvalue ...

Enhancing CAR‐T Cell Efficacy in Solid Tumors by Inhibiting CCL5/VEGF‐Mediated Angiogenesis
This study reveals that CAR‐T cells in solid tumors produce CCL5, which paradoxically induces VEGF and angiogenesis to promote tumor growth. Blocking CCL5/VEGF signaling—through gene knockout, or the CCR5 inhibitor maraviroc—significantly enhances the antitumor efficacy of CAR‑T therapy (the diagram was created in Biorender).
