Sequential and parallel preconditioners for large-scale integral-equation problems [PDF]
Date of Conference: 30-31 August 2007Conference Name: Computational Electromagnetics Workshop, IEEE 2007For efficient solutions of integral-equation methods via the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA), effective preconditioners are required.

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

The Tau method and a new preconditioner
The authors present a formulation of the tau method that makes use of fact that the derivatives of the Chebyshev and Legendre polynomials are Gegenbauer polynomials of higher index. This allows them to find suitable preconditioners. Numerical results are included.

Numerical studies of the incomplete factorization preconditioners
Incomplete factorization preconditioning is one of the most efficient and rebust preconditioning techniques in the conjugate gradient method for solving systems of linear equations.

This study identifies the mechanosensor PIEZO1 as a key factor in promoting acute myeloid leukemia progression and uncovers a ferroptosis defense system mediated by PIEZO1‐HIF1A‐SLC7A11 axis that is essential for leukemia stem cell maintenance. This ferroptotic defense system may represent a unique vulnerability for leukemia stem cells, providing a ...

Modified Preconditioned GAOR Methods for Systems of Linear Equations
Three kinds of preconditioners are proposed to accelerate the generalized AOR (GAOR) method for the linear system from the generalized least squares problem. The convergence and comparison results are obtained.

Null-space preconditioners for saddle point problems [PDF]
The null-space method is a technique that has been used for many years to reduce a saddle point system to a smaller, easier to solve, symmetric positive-definite system. This method can be understood as a block factorization of the system.
