Epigenetic Regulation in the Pathogenesis of Renal Inflammation: Insights and Therapeutic Potentials

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Renal inflammation is a common pathological process in various kidney diseases, often initiated by factors such as toxins, ischemia, or autoimmune reactions. This inflammatory response can result in structural damage and a rapid decline in renal function.

Napabucasin transforms liver microenvironment and boosts immunotherapy efficacy by converting potential metastases into “hot” tumors

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Napabucasin reduces liver metastases by reprogramming the hepatic microenvironment. It induces hepatocyte secretion of CCL21 via c‐Fos activation, recruiting lymphocytes and converting “cold” metastases into immunologically “hot” tumors. This effect is liver‐specific and independent of cancer cells.

Fast Mid‐Infrared Spectral Probe Decisions Match H&E Stain Results for Keratinocytic Carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
A handheld and fast mid‐infrared fiber‐optic spectral probe is touched to tissue recording a mid‐infrared spectrum that can distinguish keratinocytic cancer from normal skin. ABSTRACT We designed a handheld and fast mid‐infrared fiber‐optic spectral probe using a quantum cascade laser (QCL) and a reduced range of wavelengths, to see if keratinocytic ...
