A new methodology to improve wind power prediction accuracy considering power quality disturbance dimension reduction and elimination [PDF]
The proper integration of wind power-driven grids relies heavily on a reliable balance between electricity production and demand. Therefore, accurate prediction is essential for planning and efficient operation of wind power systems to ensure their ...

Automatic Feature Selection by Regularization to Improve Bug Prediction Accuracy [PDF]
Bug prediction has been a hot research topic for the past two decades, during which different machine learning models based on a variety of software metrics have been proposed. Feature selection is a technique that removes noisy and redundant features to

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Software Defect Association Mining and Defect Correction Effort Prediction [PDF]
Much current software defect prediction work concentrates on the number of defects remaining in software system. In this paper, we present association rule mining based methods to predict defect associations and defect-correction effort.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Predictive accuracy of recommender algorithms
Recommender systems present a customized list of items based upon user or item characteristics with the objective of reducing a large number of possible choices to a smaller ranked set most likely to appeal to the user. A variety of algorithms for recommender systems have been developed and refined including applications of deep learning neural ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
