Effects of Preemergence Herbicides on Hosta and Daylily [PDF]
Abstract Thirteen preemergence herbicides were evaluated for phytotoxicity to container grown hosta (Hosta spp. Tratt. ‘Hyacinthina’) and daylily (Hemerocallis spp. L. ‘Sammy Russell’). Severe injury (28 to 55%) was observed from Ronstar (oxadiazon) and Goal (oxyfluorfen) for both species. The other herbicides did not cause visual injury. Three

Critical timing of weed removal in dry bean as influenced by the use of preemergence herbicides
The critical timing of weed removal (CTWR) is the point in crop development when weed control must be initiated to prevent crop yield loss due to weed competition.

Buffalograss Establishment with Preemergence Herbicides [PDF]
Field studies were conducted at two sites in Nebraska (NE1 and NE2) and one site in Kansas (KS) in 1994 to determine the influence of selected preemergence herbicides on establishment of seeded `Sharp's Improved' buffalograss [ Buchloe dactyloides (Nutt.) Engelm.].

Pansy Tolerance to Preemergence Herbicides [PDF]
Abstract Three studies were conducted to determine tolerance of pansy cultivars to preemergence applied herbicides. In the first two studies, three cultivars were evaluated for tolerance. In the first study plants were small at the time of treatment [5 cm (2 in) in height]. Herbicides that caused no injury or shoot dry weight (SDW) reduction of

Peanut Response to Preemergence Applications of Metribuzin [PDF]
ABSTRACT Herbicide-resistant Palmer amaranth is one of the most problematic weeds in agronomic cropping systems in Georgia. The wide germination window of Palmer amaranth seed allows it to emerge after field corn harvest, and if left uncontrolled, can contribute significantly to the weed seed-bank causing problems in future rotational ...

SELECTIVITY OF FOMESAFEN TO COTTON [PDF]
The aim of this work was to evaluate the selectivity of fomesafen alone or in a tank mixture with other preemergent herbicides, with or without S-metolachlor application in early postemergence in cotton plant, cultivar DP 555 BG RR(r).

Screening preemergence herbicides for weed control in cassava
Weed competition severely constrains cassava root yield in sub-Saharan Africa; thus, good weed control measures, including the use of herbicides, are increasingly important.

Selectivity of herbicides applied in preemergence and diuron in postemergence for sesame. [PDF]
The expansion of sesame growth has led to one of the biggest challenges in weed management mainly due to the limited options of selective herbicides for the control of eudicots species.
