On a Generalization of Markowitz Preference Relation
Given two families of continuous functions $u$ and $v$ on a topological space $X$, we define a preorder $R=R(u,v)$ on $X$ by the condition that any member of $u$ is an $R$-increasing and any member of $v$ is an $R$-decreasing function. It turns out that if the topological space $X$ is quasi-compact and sequentially compact, then any element of $X$ is ...

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

A Class of Dissimilarity Semimetrics for Preference Relations
We propose a class of semimetrics for acyclic preference relations, any one of which is an alternative to the classical Kemeny-Snell-Bogart metric. These semimetrics are based solely on the implications of preferences for choice behavior and thus appear more suitable in economic contexts and choice experiments.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...
