Preliminary failure mode predictions for the SSMRP reference plant (Zion 1 and 2) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
A preliminary determination of failure modes for safety related equipment and major structures in the SSMRP reference plant was made. The preliminary predictions were made using engineering judgement as a review of seismic qualification requirements ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Preliminary Evaluation, Artimis Reference Point Signs

open access: yes, 1995
The objectives of the preliminary evaluation were to determine if the installation of reference signs at intervals more frequent than one-mile increments would improve the ability of emergency personnel to respond to incidents or accidents on the freeway

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

DESAIN AWAL RUANG BAKAR PREMIXED UNTUK TURBIN GAS ULTRA MIKRO (TGUM) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN TEMPERATUR ADIABATIK

open access: yesRekayasa Mesin
The need to develop ultra-micro gas turbine (TGUM) applications is getting higher, especially as a portable energy source. Many applications whose energy requirements cannot be met by current batteries but can be handled by TGUM.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

On the Strategic Use of the Preliminary Reference System: Plausible Assumptions v. Empirical Reality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, I examine a central assumption of the neo-functionalist theory of European integration empirically: that interest groups use the preliminary reference system strategically in order to pursue their policy interests and to push European ...
