Separation of organochlorsilanes by preparative gas chromatography

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2013
The preparative gas chromatography method has been used for isolation and analysis of the organochlorsilanes isomers. The reaction of the organochlorsilanes with vapour of the water in the air has been studied.

Preparative Separation of Sulfur-Containing Diketopiperazines from Marine Fungus Cladosporium sp. Using High-Speed Counter-Current Chromatography in Stepwise Elution Mode

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2015
High-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) was successively applied to the separation of three sulfur-containing diketopiperazines (DKPs) (including two new compounds cladosporin A (1) and cladosporin B (3), and a known compound haematocin (2 ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Separation of methylated free bile acids from their taurine and methyl glycine conjugates by thin-layer chromatography

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1987
Class separation of methylated free bile acids from bile acids conjugated with taurine and methylglycine was accomplished using a solvent system of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane-absolute ethanol 10:1 (v/v). By developing a silica thin-layer plate two times with

Separation of bacterial capsular and lipopolysaccharides by preparative electrophoresis [PDF]

open access: yesGlycobiology, 1996
Preparative gel electrophoresis was used to separate and purify extracellular, capsular and lipopolysaccharides (EPSs, CPSs, and LPSs, respectively) from crude bacterial extracts. The procedure effectively separates CPS from LPSs. In addition discreet size ranges of these various polysaccharides can be isolated. The 'rough' (R-type), 'smooth' (S-type),

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Preparative Separation of Mixtures by Mass Spectrometry

open access: yes, 2016
A specially designed mass spectrometer which allows for preparative separation of mixtures is described. This mass spectrometer allows for large ion currents, on the order of nanoamperes, to be produced by electrospray and transmitted into a high vacuum.
