Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A modified CZ-1 preserving solution for organ transplantation: comparative study with UW preserving solution

open access: yesChinese Medical Journal, 2008
The University of Wisconsin colloid based preserving solution (UW solution) is the most efficient preserving solution for multiorgan transplantation. Unfortunately, unavailability of delayed organ preserving solutions hindered further progression of cardinal organ transplantation in China.

Preservation of Methane Hydrates Prepared from Dilute Electrolyte Solutions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2009
The anomalous or self-preservation of methane hydrate at atmospheric pressure and temperatures below the ice point was investigated to determine whether this phenomenon might have applications in the storage and transportation of natural gas.

31P-NMR study of cardiac preservation: St. Thomas' Hospital cardioplegic solution versus UW preservation solution

open access: yesTransplant International, 1991
Ex vivo cardiac preservation was evaluated by measuring the catabolism of high-energy phosphate (ATP and creatine phosphate, CrP) using 31P-NMR spectroscopy. After cardioplegic arrest St. Thomas' Hospital cardioplegic solution (group A), and University of Wisconsin (UW) preservation solution (group B) were tested.
