Two-Dimensional Physical Simulation of the Seepage Law of Microbial Flooding

open access: yesEnergies
The study of seepage laws during microbial enhanced oil recovery helps to elucidate the mechanisms behind microbial flooding, and the use of large-scale physical simulation experimental devices can more objectively and accurately investigate the seepage ...

Pressure-induced Superconductivity in a Ferromagnet UGe$_2$ -- Resistivity Measurements in Magnetic Field --

open access: yes, 2001
The electrical resistivity measurements in the magnetic field are carried out on the pressure-induced superconductor UGe$_2$. The superconductivity is observed from 1.06 to 1.44 GPa.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Stress Field Distribution in Magnetoelastic Pressure Force Sensor

open access: yesCommunications, 2010
Modelling of the stress field distribution in a magnetoelastic sensor core is proposed. The components of stress field are carried out by a numerical solution of boundary-value problem for stress field.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The effects of ram-pressure stripping on the internal kinematics of simulated spiral galaxies

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate the influence of ram-pressure stripping on the internal gas kinematics of simulated spiral galaxies. Additional emphasis is put on the question of how the resulting distortions of the gaseous disc are visible in the rotation curve and/or ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Structure Analysis and Optimization of Uniflow Cyclone Separator

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2019
To study the influence of the central body on the separation performance of the uniflow cyclone separator, by setting the center body inside the separator, the cyclone field, pressure field, velocity field and separation efficiency of the separator are ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
