PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

LSTM Reconstruction of Turbulent Pressure Fluctuation Signals

open access: yesComputation
This paper concerns the application of a long short-term memory model (LSTM) for high-resolution reconstruction of turbulent pressure fluctuation signals from sparse (reduced) data.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Semi-diurnal pressure fluctuation in the ERA40 Data

open access: yesMeteorologische Zeitschrift, 2007
In a regional analysis the removal of the globally present semi-diurnal pressure signal could be necessary in order to isolate the pressure signal of regional features.

Experimental study on the flow structure and sound generation between the blades of multi-blade fan

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2017
The relationship between flow structure and generation of aerodynamic sound from a multi-blade fan is experimentally investigated with enlarged two-dimensional blade models. Two blade models with different shapes are used.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Study on Pressure Fluctuation Characteristics of Hydraulic Pulsed Jet

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2016
By producing instantaneous negative pressure and pulse shock at the bottomhole, the pulsed jet could reduce the pressure holding effect on the cuttings and improve the efficiency of rock breaking and cutting removing. On the basis of the established ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Prediction of Gas–Liquid Two‐Phase Flow Pressure Wave in the Wellbore During the Re‐Production of Deep Gas Wells

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering
The pressure of the tube at the wellhead is abruptly released during the opening of a high‐production gas well, causing pressure fluctuation and subjecting the tubing to extra stress.
