Detecting Pressure Waves during Earthquakes in an In-Service Pipeline System for Agricultural Irrigation using Numerical Analysis

open access: yese-Journal of Nondestructive Testing
Seismic hydrodynamic pressure, which is burst water pressure fluctuation induced by earthquakes, is often observed in water pipelines. The earthquake damage includes detachment and damage to pneumatic valves in curved pipe sections, and we believe that ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Design of Adaptive Negative Pressure Regulating System for Glass Solidification of HLLW by Cold Crucible

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu, 2022
During the operation of twostep cold crucible glass solidification device, the pressure control of cold crucible and calciner is very important. However, due to the periodic decomposition or sealing problem of calcined products, there will be large ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Large Eddy Simulation for Fluctuation Pressure of High Speed Train Head Surface

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2009
: In order to obtain the distribution rules of fluctuation pressure of train head surface, body-fitted quadrilateral and hexahedron grid was obtained of high speed train head surface based on parameter space mapping approach.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Experimental study on the flow structure and sound generation between the blades of multi-blade fan

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2017
The relationship between flow structure and generation of aerodynamic sound from a multi-blade fan is experimentally investigated with enlarged two-dimensional blade models. Two blade models with different shapes are used.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Study on Pressure Fluctuation Characteristics of Hydraulic Pulsed Jet

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2016
By producing instantaneous negative pressure and pulse shock at the bottomhole, the pulsed jet could reduce the pressure holding effect on the cuttings and improve the efficiency of rock breaking and cutting removing. On the basis of the established ...
