This paper presents the results of an experimental research program addressing the bond behavior of prestressing strands in pretensioned prestressed concrete members after anchorage failure has occurred. A test methodology based on measuring the prestressing strand force and strand end slip at the specimens free end was employed.

Identification of invisible damage in prestressed concrete bridges—A demonstrator case using coda wave interferometry

Abstract During their life cycle, prestressed concrete bridges are prone to wire breaks of their tendons due to fatigue or stress corrosion cracking. However, not all structures show visible cracking on the surface, which would provide timely warning of otherwise invisible damage. Brittle failure may occur.

Horizontal end crack control and load-bearing capacity performance of hollow-type pretensioned girders through experimentally calibrated finite element models
