Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Arrest and theoretically practical problems of its application [PDF]
Darba mērķis ir noteikt, vai apcietinājuma piemērošana veicina kriminālprocesa likuma mērķa sasniegšanu, nodrošina efektīvu KL normu piemērošanu un krimināltiesisko attiecību taisnīgu noregulējumu bez neattaisnotas iejaukšanās personas dzīvē.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Survival, prognostication and secondary prevention in cardiac arrest [PDF]
Background: Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a highly lethal medical emergency, caused by an abrupt cessation of cardiac function. Despite extensive research efforts, increased public awareness and systematic healthcare improvements, overall survival is ...

Rethinking the 2-minute rule in adult basic life support cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The standard 2-minute cycle of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) followed by rhythm analysis has long guided out-of-hospital cardiac arrest basic life support.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...
