Predicting carrying capacity of a large carnivore from prey densities: a new approach [PDF]
Background Large carnivores play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Successful conservation initiatives have often led to a huge increase in predators which has often led to negative interactions with humans.

Prey selection by the Barn Owl Tyto alba (Scopoli, 1769) in captivity
We investigated prey selection of the Barn Owl Tyto alba under captive conditions where birds were allowed to choose among individuals of varying size from four field rodent species: Bandicota bengalensis, Millardia meltada, Tatera indica and Mus booduga.

Preference for envenomated rodent prey by rattlesnakes [PDF]
Adult specimens of several rattlesnake species which struck and envenomated a mouse or which did not have an opportunity to strike were allowed to choose between an envenomated mouse and one manually killed by the experimenter. Only rattlesnakes that struck a mouse made a choice, and the envenomated mouse was selected most frequently.

Prey-preference of Orius albidipennis (Het.: Anthocoridae) on onion thrips and two-spotted spider mite under laboratory conditions [PDF]
Prey-preference of the predatory bug, Orius albidipennis Reuter, with predation rate and prey-preference tests on the basis of completely randomized design (CRD) and without the replacement of consumed prey was examined under laboratory conditions (25 ±
