The pricing behaviour of Italian firms: new survey evidence on price stickiness [PDF]
This study examines price setting behaviour of Italian firms on the basis of the results of a survey conducted by Banca dÂ’Italia in early 2003 on a sample of around 350 firms belonging to all economic sectors.

Price perception by consumers represents a challenge to the ability of a business to correctly and profitably price and sell their products or services in a given market and any new target market. Complicating the perception of prices is the dynamics of price and income elasticity, both of which are key for estimating demand.

Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...

Price Transmission in the Cocoa-Chocolate Chain [PDF]
There is a common perception among consumers that the retail prices respond faster to an increase in the price of raw material than to a decrease. This paper aims at testing the existence of such asymmetric price transmission in the cocoa-chocolate chain
