Trump Maintains NH Lead, Close Race For Second, Most Voters Still Undecided 1/31/16 [PDF]
Donald Trump has maintained his double digit lead in the New Hampshire Primary race while the rest of the field remains tightly packed. However, Trump also continues to be the candidate that New Hampshire Republicans say they are least likely to vote for.

Conformal symmetry in non-local field theories
We have shown that a particular class of non-local free field theory has conformal symmetry in arbitrary dimensions. Using the local field theory counterpart of this class, we have found the Noether currents and Ward identities of the translation ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Mapping receptive fields in primary visual cortex
Nearly 40 years ago, in the pages of this journal, Hubel and Wiesel provided the first description of receptive fields in the primary visual cortex of higher mammals. They defined two classes of cortical cells, ‘simple’ and ‘complex’, based on neural responses to simple visual stimuli.

Single-crystal growth of the ternary BaFe$_2$As$_2$ phase using the vertical Bridgman technique
Ternary Ba-Fe-As system has been studied to determine a primary solidification field of the BaFe$_2$As$_2$ phase. We found that the BaFe$_2$As$_2$ phase most likely melts congruently and primarily solidifies either in the FeAs excess or Ba$_{x}$As$_{100 ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Generators for primary closures of Galois fields
Let \(q\) be a prime power, \(k\) and \(e\) positive integers and \((\mathbb F_q,\mathbb F_{q^k},\mathbb F_{q^{ek}})\) a tower of finite fields of order \(q\), \(q^k\) and \(q^{ek}\), respectively. Let \({\mathcal F}\) denote the set of triples \((q,k,e)\) for which, for every \(a\in \mathbb F_{q^k}\) normal over \(\mathbb F_q\) (i.e.\ \(\{a,a^q,\dots ...
