Carlitz module analogues of Mersenne primes, Wieferich primes, and certain prime elements in cyclotomic function fields

In this paper, we introduce a Carlitz module analogue of Mersenne primes, and prove Carlitz module analogues of several classical results concerning Mersenne primes. In contrast to the classical case, we can show that there are infinitely many composite Mersenne numbers.

On prime elements in commutative domains

Summary: We present some results concerning prime elements in integral domains. In particular we deal with the following question: Does every order in an algebraic number field has infinitely many prime elements? Then we show that for real quadratic fields the answer to that question is positive.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
