PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Open Set Lattices of Subspaces of Spectrum Spaces

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2015
We take a unified approach to study the open set lattices of various subspaces of the spectrum of a multiplicative lattice L. The main aim is to establish the order isomorphism between the open set lattice of the respective subspace and a sub-poset of L.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

QCD sum rule studies of $$s s {\bar{s}} {\bar{s}}$$ sss¯s¯ tetraquark states with $$J^{PC} = 1^{+-}$$ JPC=1+-

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
We apply the method of QCD sum rules to study the structure X newly observed by the BESIII Collaboration in the $$\phi \eta ^\prime $$ ϕη′ mass spectrum in 2.0–2.1 GeV region in the $$J/\psi \rightarrow \phi \eta \eta ^\prime $$ J/ψ→ϕηη′ decay.

The flat topology on the minimal and maximal prime spectrum of a commutative ring

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we investigate connections between some algebraic properties of commutative rings and topological properties of their minimal and maximal prime spectrum with respect to the flat topology.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Graded prime spectrum of a graded module

open access: yes, 2013
Let R be a graded ring and M be a graded R -module. We define a topology on graded prime spectrum G - Spec(M) of the graded R -module M which is analogous to that for G - Spec(R), and investigate several properties of the ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Smoking-gun Signatures of Bounce Cosmology from Echoes of Relic Gravitational Waves

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We report a novel feature of relic gravitational waves (GWs) in nonsingular bounce cosmologies that is testable in light of GW astronomy. In nonsingular bounce cosmologies, the effective potential ${M}_{p}^{2}{a}^{{\prime\prime} }/a$ that governs the ...
