Acute inhibition of PRL and TSH secretion after intraventricular injection of PRL in ovariectomized rats

open access: yes, 1983
Prolactin (PRL) is under short-loop inhibitory control via the hypothalamus. However, earlier studies evaluated the effects on PRL secretion of PRL levels elevated for periods of days. In this study we evaluated the acute effects of intraventricular and

Tumor‐Derived LAMB3 Drives Immunosuppressive LRRC15+ Fibroblast Formation During Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A single‐cell atlas of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma development reveals progressive ductal‐fibroblast‐immune crosstalk. Tumor‐derived LAMB3 drives the formation of immunosuppressive LRRC15+ fibroblasts through the ITGB1/FAK/MAPK/FOSL2 signaling. Glycolytic reprogramming upregulates LAMB3 and correlates with LRRC15+ fibroblast enrichment.

Phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 inhibits invasiveness and proliferation in non-small cell lung cancer by regulating the epithelial-mesenchymal transition

open access: yes, 2017
Phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 (PRL-3) has been reported to be associated with colon and gastric cancer metastasis. However, the role and function of PRL-3 in human non-small cell lung cancer cells is unknown.

Nanobody 19 stabilizes PRL-3 structure at two sites and destabilizes PRL-3 at one interaction point.

open access: yes, 2023
(A) PRL-3 in complex with nanobody 19 shows regions of both increased (red) and decreased (blue) deuterium uptake, compared to apo-PRL-3. Heatmap indicates approximately 70% sequence coverage by mass spectrometry; gray areas represent portions of PRL-3 ...

Implementation impacts of PRL methodology. [PRL (Plutonium Recovery Limit)] [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
This report responds to a DOE-SR request to evaluate the impacts from implementation of the proposed Plutonium Recovery Limit (PRL) methodology. The PRL Methodology is based on cost minimization for decisions to discard or recover plutonium contained in scrap, residues, and other plutonium bearing materials.

An Activity‐Dependent NEPAS–PTX3 Axis Links Neurovascular and Myelin Deficits to Cognitive Impairment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.

Table_1_MiR-130a-3p Inhibits PRL Expression and Is Associated With Heat Stress-Induced PRL Reduction.XLSX

open access: yes, 2020
MicroRNAs (MiRNAs) play critical roles in the regulation of pituitary function. MiR-130a-3p has previously been found to be down-regulated in prolactinoma, but its roles in prolactin (PRL) regulation and the underlying mechanisms are still unclear.

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Analysis of molecular determinants of PRL‐3 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, 2009
AbstractIn order to analyse whether a C‐terminal polybasic sequence represents a nuclear localization signal (NLS) we obtained several truncated and mutant forms of protein of regerating liver (PRL)‐3 and evaluated their subcellular localization as compared to the wild‐type form. Our results invalidate the hypothesis that this is an NLS.
