Agent Behavior Prediction and Its Generalization Analysis [PDF]
Machine learning algorithms have been applied to predict agent behaviors in real-world dynamic systems, such as advertiser behaviors in sponsored search and worker behaviors in crowdsourcing.

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

A ghost imaging framework based on laser mode speckle pattern for underwater environments
Due to the complex physical processes found in underwater environments, such as absorption, scattering, and noise, it is challenging to obtain high-quality images using conventional camera-based imaging techniques.

Zero-one law for directional transience of one-dimensional random walks in dynamic random environments [PDF]
We prove the trichotomy between transience to the right, transience to the left and recurrence of one-dimensional nearest-neighbour random walks in dynamic random environments under fairly general assumptions, namely: stationarity under space-time ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

A genome’s nucleotide composition can usually be summarized with (G)uanine + (C)ytosine (GC) or (A)denine + (T)hymine (AT) frequencies as GC% = 100% − AT%.

Recurrence for persistent random walks in two dimensions
We discuss the question of recurrence for persistent, or Newtonian, random walks in Z^2, i.e., random walks whose transition probabilities depend both on the walker's position and incoming direction.

Branching processes in random environment die slowly [PDF]
Let $Z_n,n=0,1,\ldots,$ be a branching process evolving in the random environment generated by a sequence of iid generating functions $f_0(s),f_1(s),\ldots,$ and let $S_0=0$, $S_k=X_1+ \ldots +X_k,k \geq 1$, be the associated random walk with $X_i=\log f_{i-1}^{\prime}(1), \tau (m,n)$ be the left-most point of minimum of $\{S_k,k \geq 0 \}$ on the ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.
