Performative Utopias: Making Space, Taking Time, Doing Differently?
In an increasingly dystopian world, the notion of ‘utopia’ might seem all but obliterated, yet at the same time, it has become a productive concept for social theory and cultural practice.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The impact of competition on productive efficiency in European railways [PDF]
This paper empirically explores the relationship between competition design and productive efficiency in the railway industry. We use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to construct efficiency scores, and explain these scores, using variables reflecting ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Food restriction in larviculture of Colossoma macropomum (Cuvier, 1818) reared in varying salinities [PDF]
Given the growing demand for tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum), economically sustainable protocols that guarantee quality in the larval stage are highly needed.

Productivity and performance in the public sector [PDF]
In times of budgetary difficulties it is not surprising to see the performance of the public sector questioned. What is surprising is that what is meant by it, and how it is measured, does not seem to matter to either the critics or the advocates of the public sector.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Assessing the Productive Efficiency of Non-Profit Organisations: a Comparative Analysis [PDF]
Empirical evidence on the productive efficiency of non-profit organisations is at present scarce and not conclusive. In the present work, we analyse this issue by relying on a new data-set about Italian for-profit and non-profit organisations engaged in ...
