Productivity and performance

Transportation Planning and Technology, 1991
The broad aim is to review the technical literature on productivity and performance indicators, and to establish a set of guidelines for improved approaches to the definition, measurement and implementation of indicators. The economic literature on productivity levels and growth rates will be reviewed and contrasted to the more established transport ...

TerraSAR-X Products and Product Performance Update

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2006
TerraSAR-X is a German satellite to be launched towards end of the year 2006. The SAR instrument built by EADS/Astrium has a multipolarized active phased array antenna and is programmable in wide ranges. This allows to operate imaging modes such as e.g. stripmap, spotlight, ScanSAR and dual-polarization modes.

Product Performance Optimization

2018
Product performance optimization is an important part of the development process for foods and other consumer products. In light of the high failure rate of new products currently observed, effective ways to predict product performance are highly sought after.

Products and Performance

2020
The chapter starts with the investment ACLEDA Bank made in the financial system to enhance transparency with an innovative pilot project, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MoEF) to “digitize corruption out of the market”. Other lessons about financial product development—both successes and failures—are presented.

Geometrical performance of the VEGETATION products

IGARSS 2003. 2003 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37477), 2004
VEGETATION data are mainly used for multidate applications, which induces high level geometrical specifications, especially for multitemporal registration. To comply with them, the VEGETATION 1 image location is improved by a systematic use of ground control points.

A Model of Product Development Performance

1998
The overriding aim of much product development research is to improve the performance of the Product Development Process (PDP). Yet we seem to know very little of how to measure improved performance or how performance metrics relate. The whole concept of performance as applied to this area is currently without underlying theory and no consensus exists ...

Productivity, profitability and financial performance

Industrial and Corporate Change, 2008
This work presents a comparative analysis of two crucial dimensions of firms’ performance: profitability and productivity. The characteristics of their empirical distribution and the associated degree of persistence over time are explored through a set of parametric and non-parametric exercises performed on an exhaustive panel of Italian firms, active ...

Performance prediction in production environments

Proceedings of the First Merged International Parallel Processing Symposium and Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing, 2002
Accurate performance predictions are difficult to achieve for parallel applications executing on production distributed systems. Conventional point-valued performance parameters and prediction models are often inaccurate since they can only represent one point in a range of possible behaviors. The authors address this problem by allowing characteristic
