An upper mass limit for the progenitor of the TypeII-P supernova SN1999gi [PDF]
Masses and progenitor evolutionary states of TypeII supernovae remain almost unconstrained by direct observations. Only one robust observation of a progenitor (SN1987A) and one plausible observation (SN1993J) are available.

The impact of Hnrnpl deficiency on transcriptional patterns of developing muscle cells
We performed nanopore whole‐transcriptome sequencing comparing RNA from Hnrnpl‐knockdown versus control C2C12 myoblasts to investigate the contributions of Hnrnpl to muscle development. Our results indicate that Hnrnpl regulates the expression of genes involved with Notch signaling and skeletal muscle, particularly splicing patterns of specific muscle ...

Clonal Glial Response in a Multiple Sclerosis Mouse Model
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease causing central nervous system (CNS) demyelination and axonal injury. In the last years the importance of astrocytes in MS is rapidly increasing, recognizing astrocytes as highly active players in MS ...

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Adult chondrogenesis and spontaneous cartilage repair in the skate, Leucoraja erinacea
Mammalian articular cartilage is an avascular tissue with poor capacity for spontaneous repair. Here, we show that embryonic development of cartilage in the skate (Leucoraja erinacea) mirrors that of mammals, with developing chondrocytes co-expressing ...

Expanding Hereditary Spastic Paraplegias Limits: Biallelic SPAST Variants in Cerebral Palsy Mimics
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegias (HSP) are rare neurodegenerative disorders marked by spasticity and lower limb weakness. The most common type, SPG4, is usually autosomal dominant and caused by SPAST gene variants, typically presenting as pure HSP.

Multi‐Omics Integration for Advancing Glioma Precision Medicine
ABSTRACT Gliomas are among the most malignant and aggressive tumors of the central nervous system, characterized by the absence of early diagnostic markers, poor prognosis, and a lack of effective treatments. Advances in high‐throughput technologies have facilitated a refined molecular classification of gliomas, incorporating genetic features. However,

Integrating Enhancer Mechanisms to Establish a Hierarchical Blood Development Program
Hematopoietic development requires the transcription factor GATA-2, and GATA-2 mutations cause diverse pathologies, including leukemia. GATA-2-regulated enhancers increase Gata2 expression in hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells and control hematopoiesis.
