The Use of Reactive Programming in the Proposed Model for Cloud Security Controlled by ITSS

open access: yesComputers, 2022
Reactive programming is a popular paradigm that has been used as a new solution in our proposed model for security in the cloud. In this context, we have been able to reduce the execution time compared to our previous work for the model proposed in cloud

Cinnamons: A Computation Model Underlying Control Network Programming

open access: yes, 2017
We give the easily recognizable name "cinnamon" and "cinnamon programming" to a new computation model intended to form a theoretical foundation for Control Network Programming (CNP).

Blocking the voltage‐gated sodium channel hNav1.5 as a novel pH‐dependent mechanism of action for tamoxifen

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Patch‐clamp recordings revealed that tamoxifen inhibits voltage‐gated sodium channels, especially under acidic conditions, both common in metastatic cancer cells. These effects may explain certain antitumor properties of tamoxifen, highlighting a novel mechanism of action beyond its known endocrine effects.

Kickstarting Choreographic Programming

open access: yes, 2015
We present an overview of some recent efforts aimed at the development of Choreographic Programming, a programming paradigm for the production of concurrent software that is guaranteed to be correct by construction from global descriptions of ...

Transcriptional regulation of neuropeptide receptors underlies context‐dependent adaptation in Drosophila melanogaster

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Under environmental changes, the expression level of neuropeptide (NP) and neuropeptide receptor (NPR) genes changes to confer context‐dependent adaptation to the model organism Drosophila melanogaster. Through finding more regulatory elements in the NPR genes in comparison with their ligands (NPs), we found that NPR‐biased transcriptional regulation ...

Graphical Flow-based Spark Programming

open access: yesJournal of Big Data, 2020
Increased sensing data in the context of the Internet of Things (IoT) necessitates data analytics. It is challenging to write applications for Big Data systems due to complex, highly parallel software frameworks and systems.

Identification of amino acids essential for angulin‐1/3 binding of the tricellular tight junction binder, angubindin‐1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Angubindin‐1 binds angulin‐1/‐3 at tricellular tight junctions, enhancing intestinal macromolecule permeation. Alanine scanning identified six essential residues (L562, L598, E638, V640, Y643, and K644) of angubindin‐1 critical for binding to angulin‐1/‐3 and permeation‐enhancing activity, providing insights for the development of targeted noninvasive ...

Is Strategic Programming a Viable Paradigm? [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2001
AbstractThis discussion paper for the Workshop on Reduction Strategies in Programming and Rewriting (WRS'01) speculates on the viability of strategic programming in mainstream programming and in two selected application areas: theorem proving and programming-in-the-large.
