PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Operator representation of weakly Cauchy sequences in projective tensor products of Banach spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1980
It is shown that the above sequences always determine linear transformations and if the sequences are bounded under the least cross norm, that the transformations are continuous.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Minimal resolutions of graded modules over an exterior algebra

open access: yesAtti della Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti : Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali, 2019
Let K be a field, E the exterior algebra of a n-dimensional K-vector space V. We study projective and injective resolutions over E. More precisely, given a category M of finitely generated Z-graded left and right E-modules, we give upper bounds for the ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Equivalence Relations Between Conical 2-Designs and Mutually Unbiased Generalized Equiangular Tight Frames

open access: yesMathematics
Quantum measurements play a fundamental role in quantum information. Therefore, increasing efforts are being made to construct symmetric measurement operators for qudit systems.

Some New Components of the Moduli Scheme MP3(2; -1; 2; 0) of Stable Coherent Torsion Free Sheaves of Rank 2 on P3

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2015
In this paper we consider Giseker-Maruyama moduli scheme M := MP3(2;¡1; 2; 0) of stable coherent torsion free sheaves of rank 2 with Chern classes c1 = -1, c2 = 2, c3 = 0 on 3-dimensional projective space P3.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

On some interpretation of linear frames in projective differential geometry

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур, 2018
The centroprojective group, i. e. the stabilizer G of a fixed point A in the group GP(n) of projective transformations of n-dimensional projective space Pn (n > 1) is considered in the paper. Two faithful representations of the linear quotient group of G
