We describe a construction of fuzzy spaces which approximate projective toric varieties. The construction uses the canonical embedding of such varieties into a complex projective space: The algebra of fuzzy functions on a toric variety is obtained by a ...

Phases of N = 2 theories in two dimensions [PDF]
By looking at phase transitions which occur as parameters are varied in supersymmetric gauge theories, a natural relation is found between sigma models based on Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in weighted projective spaces and Landau-Ginzburg models.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

On certain classes of Galois extensions of rings
Relations between the following classes of Galois extensions are given: (1) centrally projective Galois extensions (CP-Galois extensions), (2) faithfully Galois extensions, and (3) H-separable Galois extensions.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Correspondences between projective planes [PDF]
We characterize integral homology classes of the product of two projective planes which are representable by a subvariety.Comment: Improved readability, 14 ...

Semi-topological cycle theory I
We study algebraic varieties parametrized by topological spaces and enlarge the domains of Lawson homology and morphic cohomology to this category. We prove a Lawson suspension theorem and splitting theorem.

One-tilting classes and modules over commutative rings [PDF]
We classify 1-tilting classes over an arbitrary commutative ring. As a consequence, we classify all resolving subcategories of finitely presented modules of projective dimension at most 1.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
