Dynamics of species composition in the herbaceous-subshrub later of pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.) plantations following canopy closure in a moist, relatively fertile site type in Zhytomyr Polissia

open access: yesБіологічні студії
Background. In recent decades, the area of mature oak forests in Ukraine has been declining due to clear felling. Additionally, the existing network of protected areas is insufficient to encompass the full diversity of natural oak forests.

Shared Genetic Effects and Antagonistic Pleiotropy Between Multiple Sclerosis and Common Cancers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epidemiologic studies have reported inconsistent altered cancer risk in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Factors such as immune dysregulation, comorbidities, and disease‐modifying therapies may contribute to this variability.

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Sedum plant communities, applying on green roofs and dynamic of development

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Agronomy and Animal Industries, 2012
The analysis of plant communities on green roofs of different ages, created by the same technology and using the same set of species, reveals the dynamics of change in species composition and area of the projective cover of plants in the absence of ...

Regeneration of Rhododendron luteum Sweet (Ericaceae) undergrowth after main clear cuttings in Ukrainian Polissia

open access: yesБіологічні студії
Background. The yellow azalea (Rhododendron luteum Sweet) is a relict species, fragmentally distributed in Ukraine, particularly in the Zhytomyr Polissia, covering an area of approximately 62.000 ha.

A tower of coverings of quasi-projective varieties

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 2012
The main goal of this article is to relate asymptotic geometric properties on a tower of coverings of a non-compact K hler manifold of finite volume with reasonable geometric assumptions to its universal covering. Applicable examples include moduli spaces of hyperbolic punctured Riemann surfaces and Hermitian locally symmetric spaces of finite volume.

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

Meningovascular Inflammation in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy‐Related Cortical Superficial Siderosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The role of inflammation in cortical superficial siderosis (cSS), a marker of cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) linked to high hemorrhage risk, is unclear. We examined 15 patients with cSS using 3 T post‐contrast vessel wall MRI (VWI) and CSF analysis.

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.
