Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Velocity field of an active region filament from GRIS infrared He I and IRIS ultraviolet observations

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. Plasma flow measurements in solar active region filaments are rare, particularly in the infrared and ultraviolet ranges that probe the chromosphere and transition region.

Scutigera tancitarona Chamberlin, nuevo sinónimo júnior de Dendrothereua linceci (Wood) (Scutigeromorpha: Scutigeridae)

open access: yesRevista Chilena de Entomología, 2019
Scutigera tancitarona is designated as a junior synonym of Dendrothereua linceci based on morphological features of tergal prominences and female gonopod.

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Toward detailed prominence seismology - I. Computing accurate 2.5D magnetohydrodynamic equilibria

open access: yes, 2011
Context. Prominence seismology exploits our knowledge of the linear eigenoscillations for representative magnetohydro- dynamic models of filaments. To date, highly idealized models for prominences have been used, especially with respect to the overall ...

Radio, X-ray, and extreme ultraviolet signatures of internal and external reconnection of an erupting flux rope

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Aims. We aim to interpret and relate features observed in gigahertz radio, extreme UV (EUV), and X-ray emissions during a filament eruption at the start of a solar flare on 2 April 2022. Methods.

Finite amplitude transverse oscillations of a magnetic rope [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The effects of finite amplitudes on the transverse oscillations of a quiescent prominence represented by a magnetic rope are investigated in terms of the model proposed by Kolotkov et al. 2016.

The role and implications of mammalian cellular circadian entrainment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At their most fundamental level, mammalian circadian rhythms occur inside every individual cell. To tell the correct time, cells must align (or ‘entrain’) their circadian rhythm to the external environment. In this review, we highlight how cells entrain to the major circadian cues of light, feeding and temperature, and the implications this has for our

A comprehensive examination of camel (Camelus Dromedaries) otic prominence through morphological and CT imaging studies

open access: yesJournal of Basic and Applied Zoology
Background This study explored the morphological anatomy of otic prominences in camels using advanced computed tomography (CT). Nine adult cadaver camel heads underwent CT scanning to generate detailed images of the otic prominences, mastoid process ...
